Programme Outcomes

Students are expected to;

  1. Have a fundamental knowledge of behavioural sciences and human factors. (CIDA-st.3)
  2. Absorb cultural and historical knowledge about architecture and decorative arts. (CIDA-st.8)
  3. Use the principles of 2 and 3 dimensional designs. (CIDA-st.9)
  4. Use laws, regulations, standards and guidelines that affect interior design. (CIDA-st.14)
  5. Define problems by observing human behaviours in interior space; categorize the problems and come up with creative solutions. (CIDA-st.4)
    • Come up with simple solutions to the complex problems.
    • Obtain the skill of designing, researching and problem solving.
    • Have innovative and creative thinking.
  6. Use colour theory and principles in their works. (CIDA-st.10)
  7. Choose or design materials for furniture and fixtures. (CIDA-st.11)
  8. Use principles of design of illuminating, acoustic, thermal comfort and internal air quality in order to increase users’ health, security and well-being conditions. (CIDA-st.12)
  9. Use design principles and knowledge of interior structural systems and construction systems. (CIDA-st.13)
  10. Take responsibility in working in harmony with the other members of the group. Contribute to strictly disciplined environments. (CIDA-st.5)
    • Obtain the competency of cooperation, compromise, leadership and working in a team.
  11. Think critically; Obtain the skill of evaluating the decisions about design in terms of ecologic, socio-economic and cultural variable with a wide perspective.
    • Evaluate the current problems affecting interior design.
    • Contribute to the diversification sticking to the organizational and family structure of the profession.
    • Have knowledge of different cultures.
    • Seize the opportunity to listen to the critical evaluation of the works.
  12. Absorb the notion of life-long learning.
  13. Gain effective written and oral communication competence. (CIDA-st.6)
  14. Communicate in a foreign language (European Language Portfolio: B1 Level).
  15. Use information and communication technologies at advance level of European Computer Driving Licence.
